Mall Silks Product – Custom Made Museum Series Tree 
The first project profile this month is dedicated to a very special project.  Within the last two years, Mall Silks has had the privilege of helping Make-A-Wish with two very unique wishes. This wish, like the first, was a fairy tale room complete with a wall mural and large storybook type tree. This tree was to be set in a corner and the canopy had to be shaped in a quarter circle fashion. The trunk was built on a custom steel base plate so that it could be anchored to the floor.  The limbs were made to ship separately from the trunk to protect them and so that the tree parts could be brought into the space. 

Once the trunk was set into place, the limbs were permanently attached on site. The height of the tree was approximately 8' tall.  The trunk diameter was 18" and made from our molded bark product.  The foliage was artificial Pin Oak tree leaves. The branches were fabricated from real wood trunks. Over all, the tree took about 25 hours to build and approximately 5,000 leaves. Mall Silks is proud to assist Make-A-Wish in their efforts to help children experience a wonderful wish during difficult times.  We hope to be involved with many more wishes in the future.
