Mall Silks Products – Areca Palms, Green Molted Grass, Boxwood Hedge, Sansevieria

This project profile showcases several of our most popular items. Earlier this year, Mall Silks was contacted by a representative with a large mall development/management company to provide interior artificial plant décor for a mall renovation. Several designs were presented and after working with the project designer, Mall Silks received the contract to supply the materials. 

The project consisted of 53 large containers that were to be filled with artificial plants. The artificial plants had to be permanently set into the containers on site at the mall. There were four different container displays that were made.  The first product used was a large 8’ artificial Areca palm with 3 trunks.  The second was made up with 4 – 46" Sansevieria.  The third, a large custom size clump of molted grass.  And the fourth container set up was made with a custom boxwood hedge in a cubical shape. 

After the plants were set into the containers, each container had to be top dressed with a preserved moss product. The moss was glued down so that it could not be easily removed. After this process was finished, each container was taken into the mall to be displayed in a specific area next to new furniture.  The project was completed in a tight time schedule and was delivered and installed on time for the client.  The products will be enjoyed by shoppers and employees for many years to come.
